Meetings
Monday,
June 11th - Our Annual Summer Luncheon. Details will
be provided at our regular meetings and on the web site. These
luncheons are always great fun and are held at the Cascade Community
Church (Salvation Army) located on Delair Road. Tickets are $5.00
per person . There is still space available and you may reserve
a ticket by calling Mario Wong at 604-859-1315.
There are
no meetings in July, August and September, but messages
may be left at the office and we will get back to you in the event
that you have any questions or problems.
Details are
not yet available for the October and November meetings, but on
December 10th we have already booked the Cascade
Community Church for our Annual Christmas Dinner. Another don’t
miss occasion!

Annual
Dues
Just
a reminder that those not on Dues Deduction at Source are required
to renew their memberships effective January 1, 2007. The dues
structure remains the same, $30.00 for a single membership, and
$40.20 for a double membership.
All
members are encouraged to take advantage of Dues Deduction at
Source. Forms are available at the National Office web site or
by phoning Lou Stewart at 604-864-0656. Having your dues deducted
from your monthly pay cheque not only makes renewing your membership
easier, but also saves your local branch both time and money.
Please take advantage of this method of payment if at all possible.

Your
Branch Needs You!
Officers and Directors Urgently Required
Your
Branch is struggling to maintain a working group of executives.
At the current time we are unable to fill the position of First
Vice President and Secretary.
The
President has agreed to serve for one further term, as has the
Treasurer. After that, if we fail to find replacements the Branch
may be in danger of folding. A well functioning Branch is important
not only to keep the National Office informed of local concerns,
but also to assist members in matters dealing with medical, dental,
and pension benefits. This Branch has had a long and distinguishing
record of service and it is unfoftunate that with such a large
membership we have been unable to recruit volunteers to serve
on the Executive and as Committee Chairs. We urge all members
to seriously consider offering their assistance in order to once
again have a vibrant and fully functioning Branch.Back

PSCHP
and MEDOC COMMITTEE CHAIR - VACANCY
We regret to announce that our long time authority
on the above committee, Gordon Hodgson passed away this month.
Gordon previously served in the positions of Secretary, Treasurer,
Vice President and President of the Branch. We will miss him as
a friend, a colleague, and his wealth of knowledge.
The Branch is seeking a replacement to head up the
Committee and urge all members to consider volunteering for this
position. Your currently serving Officers and Diectors are pledged
to assisting the new Chair in training for the position.
